This full day shared tour is intended for those who wish to benefit from all the highlights of ROME in one day. Your English speaking driver-guide will meet you at your hotel in the city centre or other location as previously arranged then you will make your way to the historical centre and begin your tour in Piazza Venezia that today aspect dates back to the late 19th century, dominated by the huge monument in honor of King Vittorio Emanuele II, named also vulgarly “the wedding cake” or “typewriter”. You will continue on to the magnificence of Ancient Rome with the Capitoline Hill, the Roman and Imperial Forums, the religious, political and commercial center of the early Rome, the Coliseum, and Palatine Hill, the Circus Maximus, and the glorious Pantheon, the best preserved and charming monument of antiquity: this architectural masterpiece was an excellent experiment of the abilities of architects in the very old Rome.
Moving on, you will walk through the famous Piazza Navona, the most baroque of Rome’s square adorned with the fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini and the church of his rival Borromini, next driving by the Spanish Steps, before throwing your coins into the Trevi Fountain, designed by Bernini and completed only in 1762 by Nicola Salvi.
You will take a break for a traditional Italian lunch before you continue towards the world’s smallest State: the Vatican City. Your afternoon will be spent into the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter Basilica before you are returned to your hotel at the end of the tour.
Entrance tickets to the Vatican Museum are extra and cost 20 Euro/person and you need to make reservation for the entrance at 2.00pm at the following link: http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do to be sure you will skip any possible line.
Also, we highly recommend you to have an Official Licensed guide for a 2,5 hours private tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter Basilica with the use of head-sets at an extra cost of Euro 150 total. This way you will have direct access to the Basilica without exiting the Museum so avoiding another security check, saving TIME.
Important Notes:
- please, dress respectfully to visit the holy buildings: cover your knees and shoulders;
- if possible wear or take with you comfortable shoes even if walking is limited;
- watch out for your wallet and bags; it is recommended not to wear valuable jewelry.

- Entrance to Coliseum 12 Euro (or 14 Euro with printed ticket) per person;
- Entrance to Catacombs 8 Euro per person (tour guide included).

For more passengers we use additional vehicles due to the strict Italian laws and regulations about public transportation carrying more than 8 people, in any case don’t hesitate to contact us for a quote.
Note that the driver-guide will not enter sites although giving explanations from the vehicle of what you are seeing. Only Official Licensed Guides are allowed to escort you inside places and, on your request, we can provide such service at an extra cost. The vehicle will accompany you for the entire tour.
To book our Shared Tours you have to pre-pay the lowest fee by credit card as guarantee then paying the balance due, if any depending on total number of people in the group, at the end of service with cash money. We don’t accept credit cards as a form of payment on the day of service, we only accept cash in Euro and/or US$; if US$ we will give you the exchange rate of the day before the service increased by 5 cents.
Important notice: once you join or create a Group booking the service with your credit card payment, your Shared Tour is confirmed with us, even if you do not reach the maximum number of people, and the price per person only depends on the final Group size.
